12th Annual Moms’ Run ~ Blackbaud Stadium ~ 05/09/2015
Honor Moms’ everywhere, on Mother’s Day weekend, by supporting a cause helping women and their families suffering from postpartum mood disorders. Runners and walkers can join the 5K run/walk starting at Blackbaud and winding through Daniel Island before ending back at the stadium for Family Fun Day. Last year, more than 400 registered. This annual certified 5K Moms’ Run is Postpartum Support Charleston’s largest fundraiser. Family Fun Day is included in race registration. All will enjoy jump castles, face painting, crafts and games. Part of the Memorial Waterfront Park complex, the 1250-foot long Mount Pleasant Pier stretches out into Charleston Harbor under the foot of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge. Along with beautiful views, the Pier offers great fishing! The Folly Beach Pier is one of the best destinations in the Lowcountry for Pier fishing. This breathtaking landmark stretches out 1045’ into the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and offers spectacular views, fishing, dining, tournaments, special events, and more throughout the year! Online registration ends the Thursday before each Tournament. Onsite registration is available at 6am on the morning of each event. Tournaments end at 2pm and prizes are awarded at 2:15pm. Tournaments are held rain or shine.
