The Charleston Battery will welcome Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Atlanta United, Columbus Crew SC and Minnestoa United FC to MUSC Health Stadium this coming February for the 2018 Carolina Challenge Cup ( CCC ). This year’s CCC will be the 14th staging of the Tournament. The Charleston Battery first held CCC in 2004, becoming one of the first lower-division American Soccer Clubs to host multip MLS Teams for preseason. The Tournament has offered Soccer Fans in South Carolina the opportunity to see International Superstars play in Charleston for more than a decade. Single-day Tickets start at $30 and series Passes - $65.

SAGE – On the Water Tour ~ The Charleston Angler ~ 02/07/2018
The Sage on the Water Tour is stopping by The Charleston Angler, West Ashley. The event starts at 3pm and ends at 8pm. There will be casting demos and instruction, then moving inside for food, drinks, and some presentations, ending the night with some raffles including a new SALT HD rod, SPECTRUM MAX reel, and RIO FLATS PRO line. Fly Fishing 201 School ~ The Charleston Angler ~ 02/10 & 02/24/2018
Each fly fishing class is typically offered once a month for $85. They run from 9am to 3pm, and include lunch as well as any necessary tackle required for the session. Capt. John will cover everything from fly casting to knots and flies selection for Lowcountry species. Makes for a great birthday present or group activity. Class sizes limited to 10 participants. Black History Month ~ Middleton Place ~ 02/01 – 02/28/2018
Celebrate Black History Month at Middleton Place with Beyond The Fields Walking Tours and view Eliza’s House where an exhibit focusing on the daily lives of enslaved people and their work “beyond the fields” is on display. The Beyond The Fields Walking Tour and Eliza’s House exhibit are included with regular general admission to Middleton Place year-round. The Middleton Place House Museum will present an exhibit in the Summer Bedroom which focuses on the daily life and interaction between members of the Middleton Family and the enslaved house servants they owned. The room will be set as a “moment in time” in the lives of both the Middletons and their enslaved house servants – bed unmade; clothing scattered about; toiletries laid out; letters or books strewn open. The exhibit is included with regular House Museum tours throughout the month of February.
