Children's Holiday Workshop at the Charleston Museum ~ 12/02/2017
The Garden Club of Charleston will once again bring Holiday joy in to the Joseph Manigault House. Adorn the rooms, hallways and staircases with greenery, ribbons and more. These spectacular arrangement will coincide with this year’s them, “Bells and Blooms”. The inspiration for this year’s theme came from the 1863 poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Christmas Bells”. Children's Holiday Decoration Celebration at the Charleston Museum ~ 12/02/2017
On December 2nd, from 3:00 to 5:00pm, The Charleston Museum will host a Holiday Decoration Celebration, allowing attendees to explore the Joseph Manigault House and view the decorations at their own pace. Enjoy hot chocolate and apple cider on the porch as Christmas music provided by The Charleston Caroling Company sound within the house. Children can create ornaments to take home, plus, sip on hot chocolate and taste yummy cookies as they decorate the little Heyward-Washington house in the Kidstory exhibit. 27th Annual Reindeer Run ~ 161 E. Bay Street ~ 12/02/2017
The Reindeer Run, presented by Half-Moon Outfitters, is a family-oriented, pet-friendly 5K run/walk through the lower peninsula of downtown Charleston, SC. This Event has grown significantly over the years with now over 3,500 Runners. The Charitable Society of Charleston has donated over $715,000 to MUSC Children’s Hospital during the 26 years of this run.
